EXECUTIVE OFFICE FOR IMMIGRATION REVIEW
The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) is responsible for adjudicating immigration court cases in the United States. Also, part of the EOIR, the Board of Immigration Appeals hears appeals from the Immigration Courts. Judges within the EOIR court system determine the removability (deportability) of individuals in the United States. Most legal immigrants to the United States do not have any contact with the EOIR unless they are placed in removal (deportation) proceedings.
